I've been busy. Just some of the things I have made this winter.

Semperfab: Wasilla, Alaska, United States; I am a retired Marine, who has moved on to the next chapter of my life. I got my degree in Interior Decorating and really enjoy remodeling and redecorating homes. I worked with a builder for awhile and redecorated several homes. However, I don't get to use it much anymore as we all know where the market as gone. So living in Alaska, the winters tend to be rather chilly and it's kinda boring by myself cooped up in the house, when everyone is at school or work. I was starting to go a little stir crazy. By the time my first winter was over I had completely repainted and remodeled every room in our house (to include the laundry room). I wasn't allowed to do anything in the garage, according to my husband. I begged him over the summer to "Let's add on to the house, we need a guest room or a game room, something!" Nope!! He wasn't having it. In August we have the Alaska State Fair and I remember seeing some of the beautiful quilts and was in awe of how someone could actually do that. I knew winter was soon upon us, so I had to figure out what was going to get me through those cold months. I went to a local fabric store and this is how it all began...
